My research interests are at the intersection of bio-inspired robotics, fluid dynamics, and learning-based control, especially fluid-interactive robots, such as hydro-dynamics of robotic fish and aero-dynamic effects of aircraft.
Currently, I am deeply fascinated by how fish manipulate the surrounding fluids in complex flow environments, achieving keen perception and agile maneuvers.
Enabling robotic fish to achieve the similar swimming ability as real fish allows us to understand and reveal the fluidity behind fish movement.
